A full industrial re-roof: strip, structural repair, insulated panel installation and a phased handover.
The project involved the complete removal of the old roofing system and preparation of the deck to take new materials. Zinc-coated corrugated panels were installed over an upgraded insulation layer, engineered for strength and thermal performance. High-quality membranes and sealing details were integrated at every penetration to prevent leaks and protect against the temperature swings a Texas summer puts through a large steel roof.
The roof had to carry heavy plant and constant foot traffic, so the structure was reinforced and specialised installation techniques were used at the load points. The second challenge was keeping the facility running: work was scheduled in phases bay by bay, so no part of the line stopped for more than a single shift.
