Ridgeview Estate Roof Replacement

Ridgeview's concrete tile roof had been repaired after three consecutive hail seasons and the insurer would no longer cover it. The estate wanted the same profile from the road and a roof that would survive the next storm without a claim.

Full strip and replacement in stone-coated steel tile, with a structural survey and reinstated ventilation.
Nine hundred square metres of concrete tile came off and were recycled locally. The battens and the ventilation path were rebuilt — both had been compromised by earlier repairs — and stone-coated steel tile was laid to the same course spacing so that the elevation is unchanged from the street.

Hail was the whole brief. Stone-coated steel takes a strike that would crack concrete, and its granular finish removes the drumming that owners object to on a bare panel. Taking two thirds of the weight off the structure also resolved a spread at the ridge that had been monitored for years.
