Service Overview
Metal is unforgiving of a bad installation in a way that asphalt is not: panels have to be free to move, fixings have to be torqued correctly, and dissimilar metals must never meet. Steelcrest rolls panels on site where the run needs it and sets out every roof individually, because a metal roof that fails early has almost always failed at a detail.
The systems we install
Three profiles, chosen by pitch and structure rather than by preference:
- Standing seam on concealed clips, down to three degrees
- Corrugated and trapezoidal for spans and agricultural roofs
- Stone-coated and pressed steel tile for tiled elevations
- On-site roll-forming for runs without a cross joint
- Hand-formed verges, hips, valleys and hidden gutters

The field of a metal roof is the straightforward part. What decides whether it reaches forty years is the edge: the clip spacing, the expansion allowance, the fastener grade, and whether anybody put a copper flashing next to a steel panel.
